  3. I bought BreezeBrowser Pro some time ago and when I install the latest version it says I need to purchase an upgrade. What is happening?

Download, Installation and Upgrade Queries

  1. Do I have to pay for upgrades?
    BreezeBrowser Pro, Downloader Pro, DSLR Remote Pro and PSRemote customers are entitled to 12 month's free updates from the date of purchase. You may have to purchase an upgrade if you wish to use a version that is released more than one year after your original purchase. BreezeBrowser customers should check the downloads page to see which versions are available to them free of charge.

  2. Do I need to uninstall the old version of the software before installing a newer version?
    No, you can install a new version on top of an older one. However it is recommended that you uninstall the older version first to ensure that no old files are left behind. Please remember to take a copy of any HTML templates you have added or edited before uninstalling and installing new versions of BreezeBrowser.

  3. How do I upgrade your programs?
    We recommend that you uninstall the old version before installing a new version (please see FAQ 2 above). Then download the new version from the downloads page and install this on your PC. You should not need to re-einter your registration details.
    BreezeBrowser users should check which releases will work with their existing licence before upgrading by checking the purchase date and the release date of the upgrade.

  4. I have lost my hard drive/had to reinstall Windows. How do I get your programs running again?
    Download a new copy of each program from the downloads page and install them on your PC. You will need to enter your registration details again and these can be found in the registration email you received when you purchased the program. If you are unable to find your registration details email support@breezesys.com. Please include as much information as possible about your purchase to help us identify your order quickly. We regret we cannot re-issue registration codes if you are unable to provide adequate proof of purchase.

  5. I have recently upgraded my computer, how do I install your software on my new machine?
    Please make a note of you registration details before upgrading you machine. If you don't have your original registration email you can lookup this information by displaying the "About" dialog and clicking on the "Register" button. Then simply download the latest version from our website, install it on your machine and enter your registation details.

  6. How can I create a copy of the setup program?

    Using a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer), right click on the download link on the downloads page and a menu similar to the one shown on the right will appear. Select “Save Target As...” from the menu. After a few seconds a file “Save As” window will be displayed allowing you to select a suitable place to save the file on your hard disk. Click on the “Save” button to download the setup program and save it to your hard disk.

    After downloading the file please check that the whole file has been downloaded successfully. You can do this using Windows Explorer by right clicking on the downloaded file and selecting “Properties” from the menu. A window similar to the one below will be displayed showing the size of the file. In the example below the file size is 5,407,002 bytes (please don’t confuse the file size with the “Size on disk:”). Check the file size with the file size displayed on the download page - both figures should be exactly the same. If the size of the file on your hard disk is different from the size shown on the download page it means something has gone wrong with the download and you will need download it again.



    The setup program can then be written to CD-R for archiving or for transferring to a PC which doesn’t have an internet connection (see below). Double click on the setup program icon to install the software.

  7. How can I install the software on a PC which doesn't have an internet connection?
    First download and save a copy of the setup program to your hard disk using a computer that has an internet connection (see above for details of how to do this). Then transfer the setup program to the PC which doesn’t have an internet connection. You can do this by writing the setup program to CD or, if both computers have memory card readers you could transfer it by copying it to a memory card. Then double click on the setup program to install it on your PC.

  8. When I try to install the software I get the following error message "Invalid package size! This package has been corrupted, installation impossible”. What should I do?
    If you get this error message when you try to install the software it means that there was a problem downloading the setup program. Please download the program again and then install it. If you continue to have problems you may need to try downloading the software from a download different site.

  9. Why do I keep getting the setup screen when I try to run the program?
    This happens if the setup program has been downloaded from the internet and saved on the Windows desktop. This adds an icon on your desktop for the setup program and double clicking on it will run the setup program not the software itself. You only need to install the software once and then you can delete it from your desktop. You can then run the software by selecting it from the Windows “Start” menu.

  10. Will your programs run on a Mac?
    With the exception of DSLR Remote Pro for Mac, all our software is designed to run on PCs running Microsoft Windows. We don't have native versions for the Mac but our software will run on a Mac running Windows using Parallels emulation software or on an Intel Mac running Windows using Bootcamp. Please try the software on your Mac before purchasing as we cannot guarantee correct operation on a Mac or provide Mac specific support.

  11. The downloads page lists several download sites, which site should I download the program from?
    It doesn't matter which site you use, the software is the same whichever site it is downloaded from. You may download the software from any of the download sites. If you have difficulty downloading the software from one of the sites please try one of the alternative download sites.

Registration Queries

  1. When I enter my name and registration code the software still says it is unregistered. What am I doing wrong?
    The most common causes of registration problems are

    1)

     

    Transcription errors in the name or code. Please cut and paste both your name and registration code from your registration email to the program's registration dialog to avoid errors. Even a small difference such as J.Smith instead of J Smith will cause the registration to fail.

    2)

     

    It is surprisingly common to try to enter the registration details for the wrong product e.g. entering the details for BreezeBrowser in BreezeBrowser Pro. The title at the top of the registration screen will show you which product you are running. If it is not the same as the product named in your registration email it will not work. If this happens please download and install the correct product from the downloads page.

    If these suggestions don't help please send an email to support@breezesys.com and include the registration name and code you are trying to enter, the name of the program and the exact text of the error message you see.

  2. I ordered you software some days ago but haven't received my registration details yet. What has happened?
    It is likely that something has prevented the registration email from reaching you. (There are many reasons emails go astray. These include SPAM filters, full mailboxes and incorrect email addresses). Please contact support@breezesys.com using a different email id if possible. Please include the date of purchase and transaction id/order reference number as well as the email id used for the purchase.

  3. I bought BreezeBrowser Pro some time ago and when I install the latest version it says I need to purchase an upgrade. What is happening?
    Your BreezeBrowser Pro licence entitles you to free upgrades to any version released up to one year after your purchase. This year has now passed and you will need to purchase an upgrade licence if you wish to use the latest version. You may continue to use any version released within one year of your original purchase without having to purchase an upgrade license.
