I use Downloader Pro to import files from a few cameras as well as other files people send me. One of my cameras is a Canon SD630. I'm finding that all the files that don't have EXIF data are being defaulted to this camera model. In the screenshot below, the DC*.jpg images do not contain EXIF data and certainly didn't come from an SD630. Is there a way to remove the default camera model?
Thanks,

Why use both BBP/DP and LR?

I have never used LR but recently downloaded the trial version of LR3. Even though I have only had it a couple of days I can see why everyone raves about it.

However, why is it that some of you use both BBP/DP and LR? I find that BBP/DP gives me much more flexibility when it comes to renaming images during the initial download. For example, I have not found a way to tell LR that I only want the last four digits (numbers) in the original filename. I can tell LR to give me the numbers in the original filename but not just the sequence number from the original filename. So if that number happens to include the partial date like Olympus files do, e.g. p082801676, then the whole number is added.

Also, I find the xmp/iptc module in BBP to be a lot less busy looking and therefore less complicated and not nearly confusing. On the other hand, I really like the ability to see all my images in the catalog instead of having to go to each individual folder and I like being able to create collections easily by using the smart collections feature. Although, I can do the same thing in BBP by creating shortcuts and putting them in a descriptive folder which is what the collections are in LR.

If anyone that uses both programs is so inclined, I would love hearing your reasons for using both programs and how you feel having both programs has made your workflow easier. By the way, I don't use Photoshop so I don't know if it has an image browser, but and don't laugh, I use Paint Shop Pro and it now has a fairly decent image browser capable of searching for images based on keywords, filenames or dates and it can even build collections.

Best Regards,
George

P.S. Have any of you experienced any issues with moving files or folders in BBP then relocating the files in LR or vice-versa and updating the BBP data file? Do you enable "Do not BreezeBrowser .dat file to store thumbnail order"?

I'm in the process of having a photobooth built right now, and am just curious to see some options that people are using for mounting the camera and monitor. It's hard to test without having the unit ready yet, but I'll be in a time crunch when it gets finished. I'm thinking that the camera and monitor will have to be in very close proximity, with the camera above the monitor. The monitor will be resting on an adjustable shelf. I'll be using a Canon SLR, which I think will be too heavy to clamp to the monitor directly... So, what is everyone else using as a solution? Photos/descriptions would be great.

If Canon are no longer supporting liveview in future releases of suitable point & shoot or their prosumer cameras. Is there any alternative options out there such as Fuji that PSRemote could be developed for?

As and when I upgrade my dslr, live view is never going to be a buying criteria, it's my opinion that it's a nonsense gimmick for this end of the market anyway & something like 5d mk2 is massively over kill for a booth.

I know there isn't much difference price wise, between the latest prosumer and the lower end dslr models, but dslr don't have power zoom that can be remotely operated via computer which I do consider a benefit.
