Suggestions for DSLR Remote Pro
1) Now a days when we get a dialog pop-up, it has a countdown and closes in 10 sec. Maybe it would be interesting to have in the preference an option where we would set the seconds to make it faster. So, I would set from 0 sec to 10 sec. If I set it as 0, it waits for OK to be pressed and from 1 to 10 will close automatically within the selected seconds. 2) Coming soon... |

Error dialogs only close automatically if "Auto reconnect" is selected. If this isn't selected the error dialog is displayed until dismissed by the user.

2) Directories
It would be cool if we would get to set more than one directory in the preferences and give it a nickname, and select the nick from a dropdown list in the front-end. So, now a days I use 4 different cameras and for each one I save in different paths. I'd like to set in the DSLR Remote Pro preferences one path for each camera and give a nick name for each camera and when using the camera X, I would select from the dropdown the nick/path X, when using the camera Y, I would select the nick/path Y, and so on. This dropdown would be placed right below the F8/F9 buttons. I mean, between the [_]Auto-bracket and F8/F9 buttons or Right below the RGB histogram. Would also have an option to pick which one will be the default or just leave a default the last one selected before closing the software. 3) Coming soon... You can use the camera owner string to specify the folder where the images are saved e.g. C:\Photos\%O
If you define a different owner string for each camera they will automatically download to a different folders. |

Do you mean that instead of writing my name, I may put my own path?
What does this %O stand for? Could place a better sample or step by spep? Thanks in advance. |

3) Upgrade/Trial.
When Breeze Systems, launch a new version, we don't get to use the trial version. It says that we need to upgrade to a new version. Sometimes we just want to try to see if the update will really fit our needs or fix some previous issues we where facing. So, I'd like to suggest to allow us to use the trial versions for the 15 days. So, expiring the 15 days, we buy the version or goes back to the previous one. If it is already possible, please, let me know how to procedure, because when I install the trial, I don't get to trial it. Maybe I'm missing something here. 4) coming soon... |

It's difficult because the software protection libraries don't really support having a registered copy that requires an upgrade. I may be able to change it so that it will display images rather than just an upgrade message. If you have another PC you could install a copy on that and use it in trial mode.

Hey Chris, just to things:
1) I've sent you an e-mail and a PM (Private Message). Would you please check that and give me a feedback there. I"ll appreciate. 2) Regarding this trial difficult for those that has already a previous version, if you change to show the image (with watermark for example) it will be great, besides that I wonder if all the other functions will work normaly? I mean, full functional to get to test if the other issues the users were having with the previous version will get to fix/try with the new version. So, they can decide if it worths to update or not. Thanks in advance |

If flash exposure compensation works (I have yet to be able to use it in your software while using my 7D - although I can set it from the camera menus, the option remains greyed out in the software), is it possible in theory to implement flash exposure bracketing in software? Canon seems only to implement feb on the 580ex, not in camera or on cheaper flashes.
