10 December 2010: Hotfolder Prints v1.1.1 released

This release includes the following changes:

  1. Now appends a number to the filenames of saved JPEG layouts to avoid overwriting existing files
  2. email_image.exe command line email utility now has the option to specify the port number of the email server and to use SSL STARTTLS to send secure emails
  3. Now includes an email settings dialog to help setup the command line for emailing images

6 December 2010: BreezeBrowser Pro v1.9.6 released

This release includes the following changes:

  1. Added support for Canon EOS 60D raw conversion, shooting data and focus point overlay display
  2. Added support for Nikon D7000, Nikon D3100, Sony Alpha A55, Sony DSLR-A580, Olympus E-5, Canon PowerShot G12 and Canon PowerShot S95 raw conversion
  3. Now supports video files with MP4 file extension including the display of thumbnails if a THM thumbnail file is available

6 December 2010: Advance warning of price changes on 4th January 2011

European Union customers are reminded that there will be an increase in the VAT (value added tax) charged when the British goverment changes the VAT rate from 17.5% to 20% on 4th January 2011. The change will affect all customers resident in the European Union purchasing using the PayPal purchase option. European Union customers purchasing through RegSoft will also be charged VAT at 20% unless they are VAT registered and enter their VAT registration number at the time of purchase.
Prices in Euros and GBP will be reviewed and changed in line with the current USD price using the currency rates effective on 4th January 2011.

Minor update which fixes a problem with keyboard input focus when using video booth mode. Also fixes problems switching between video booth mode and photobooth mode when using a Canon EOS 60D.

This release adds full screen photobooth shooting including live view display and automatic printing. This release also adds support for the Canon EOS 60D.

17 November 2010: Downloader Pro v2.2.8 released

This release adds support for downloading MP4 video files and MPO 3D files and for direct downloading from the Canon EOS 60D. It also includes new tokens for converting strings to upper or lower case and a new token, {E9}, which returns the value 'videos' for movie files.

10 November 2010: DSLR Remote Pro v2.1 released

This release adds support for the new Canon EOS 60D and for video booth shooting with the Canon EOS Rebel T2i, Canon EOS 550D, Canon EOS 60D and Canon EOS 7D. The full screen photobooth shooting mode has also been enhanced to allow the position of the live view and countdown text to be specified and to replace the green background with the background image for previews when green screen shooting.

1 October 2010: Hotfolder Prints v1.1 released

This release introduces the ability to automatically upload photos to social networking and photo sharing sites such as Facebook, Flickr and Twitter. Also new in this release is the ability to define a custom page size in pixels when the output setting is set to "JPEG copy only".

The hotfolder monitoring has been enhanced to handle the renaming of files. This allows Hotfolder Prints to work with apps like Canon's EOS Utility which don't write .JPG files directly but instead save them as .TMP files first and then rename them to have a .JPG file extension.

9 July 2010: Hotfolder Prints v1.0.1 released

  1. Added an optional delay before processing images
  2. Added an option to pause/resume printing
  3. Improved the user interface so that controls are no longer disabled during printing
  4. Added keyboard shortcuts for selecting B&W/color and the number of copies to print

5 July 2010: BreezeBrowser Pro v1.9.5.4 released

This release includes the following changes:

  1. Added the following tokens for modifying tokens and strings : {upper,str}, {lower,str}, {capitalize,str}. Also improved the handling of these tokens to allow them to be nested.
  2. Improved the way images are displayed in random order using BreezeBrowser Pro's slideshow so that it works like shuffling a deck of cards and dealing each card in turn.
  3. Updated the handling of XMP data to fix compatibility problems with Photoshop caused by namespace changes from xap to xmp
  4. Added an option to select whether images are auto rotated when displayed using BreezeViewer

23 June 2010: NKRemote v2.0 beta 1 released

This beta release adds support for green screen shooting for event photographers and photobooth operators. The live view display automatically replaces the green background with the chosen background image so that users see what the final photo will look like. In photobooth mode NKRemote will print the photobooth strips and automatically replace the green background with the background image. For larger, higher quality prints the photobooth output can be turned off so that third party green screen software can perform the background replacement and then format and print the strips using our new Hotfolder Prints software.

This beta release is a free upgrade for all registered users who purchased a license within the last year.
Please note: The price of NKRemote will increase to US $175 on September 1, 2010.
New users purchasing a copy now at the current price of US $129 will be able upgrade to the full release at no extra cost.
Existing users who purchased a full license or upgrade after September 1, 2009 will also be able to upgrade to the full NKRemote v2.0 release at no extra cost.
Users who purchased a full license or upgrade before September 1, 2009 will need to purchase an upgrade to use the full NKRemote v2.0 release. 15 June 2010: Hotfolder Prints v1.0 released
Hotfolder Prints is a new product for event photographers and photobooth operators. It monitors a folder for new images and automatically formats them into a page for printing or display. The page layout uses the same flexible layout options as our acclaimed photobooth software and includes support for image rotation, captions and transparent overlays.

4 June 2010: BreezeBrowser Pro v1.9.5.3 released

This release adds support for Sony DSLR-A550 and Sony DSLR-A850 raw conversion, DNG raw conversion for raw files from supported Pentax cameras and the ability to display Samsung SRW raw files.

GPS geo-coding now adds GPS data to both the raw file and the JPEG file when geo-coding raw+JPEG files.

The slideshows in both BreezeBrowser Pro and Breeze Viewer have been updated to improve the hiding of the mouse cursor. Also, when displaying a slideshow of images in random order and monitoring a folder for updates newly added files will be displayed next rather than in random order. This is useful when using the slideshow to display photobooth images in random order when you also want to display new shots as they are taken.

24 May 2010: NKRemote v1.4.1 and PSRemote v1.9.1 released

Minor updates to the photobooth mode in NKRemote and PSRemote to fix a problem that caused the error message "An Invalid Argument Was Encountered" to be displayed on some systems when selecting full screen photobooth mode.

  1. New, more flexible custom layout of prints including image rotation. This allows up to 10 images to be placed on the page and optionally rotated. The custom layout dialog also has on screen preview and print options to help with designing the page layout.
    Please note: custom layouts from previous versions of NKRemote and PSRemote for Windows will need to be updated if they use the "Copy left half of page to right to create a double strip" option
  2. Captions can now be rotated in 1/10 degree increments allowing horizontal or vertical text or anything in between.
  3. Live view is hidden when displaying the release.jpg image to avoid confusion caused by the live view freezing just before the picture is taken. To use this simply copy your taking.jpg image and rename it release.jpg then edit in an image editor if required.
  4. Added an optional minimum duration before closing the processing.jpg screen to allow a 'Please leave the booth now' message to be displayed for several seconds at the end of the sequence.

This release fixes a problem printing black and white images using the new photobooth custom layout option introduced in DSLR Remote Pro for Windows v1.9. It also adds extra tests to prevent external buttons from starting the next photobooth shooting sequence before the current one has finished printing.

14 May 2010: Support for video capture added to DSLR Remote Pro for Mac and DSLR Remote Pro Multi-Camera

DSLR Remote Pro for Mac: This release adds support for movie mode with Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EOS-1D Mark IV, Canon EOS 7D, Canon EOS 550D/Rebel T2i and Canon EOS 500D/Rebel T1i. Movies are captured directly to the camera's memory card and can be controlled and monitored from the computer using the live view display. Focus can be adjusted from the PC during video capture and the live view window can be zoomed during preview for critical focusing. After capture, movie files can be downloaded to the computer and automatically deleted from the memory card to free up space.

DSLR Remote Pro Multi-Camera: This release adds support for the simultaneous capture of video from up to 16 cameras connected to a single PC using Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EOS-1D Mark IV, Canon EOS 7D, Canon EOS 550D/Rebel T2i or Canon EOS 500D/Rebel T1i cameras. Movies are captured directly to the cameras' memory cards and can be controlled and monitored from the computer using the multi live view display. After capture, movie files can be downloaded to the computer and automatically deleted from the memory card to free up space.

31 March 2010: DSLR Remote Pro for Windows v1.8.3 released

This release adds support for movie mode with Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EOS-1D Mark IV, Canon EOS 7D, Canon EOS 550D/Rebel T2i and Canon EOS 500D/Rebel T1i. Movies are captured directly to the camera's memory card and can be controlled and monitored from the PC using the live view display. Focus can be adjusted from the PC during video capture and the live view window can be zoomed during preview for critical focusing. After capture, movie files can be downloaded to the PC and automatically deleted from the memory card to free up space.

This release also adds an option in fullscreen photobooth mode to disable live view when taking photos to allow the camera's auto focus system to be used if required. A problem in fullscreen photobooth mode where the live view display appeared on top of preview images has also been fixed.

15 March 2010: Downloader Pro v2.2.6 released

This release adds support for downloading .MPO files from Fuji FinePix REAL 3D W1 cameras and for downloading directly from the Canon EOS 550D/Rebel T2i. This release also adds the ability to display thumbnails when downloading directly from recent Canon EOS camera models.

5 March 2010: Support for Canon EOS 550D/Rebel T2i added to DSLR Remote Pro for Mac and DSLR Remote Pro for Windows

These releases add support for the new Canon EOS 550D/Rebel T2i including live view display, timed bulb exposures and the ability to save images to the camera only, camera and computer or computer only. These releases also add a "Remote Manual" AF option for taking photos from the PC without using auto-focus, support for the full +/- 5 EV exposure compensation range for cameras that support it and the ability to turn the camera's LCD on and off remotely when live view is active (recent cameras with HDMI outputs only).

The photobooth mode in DSLR Remote Pro for Windows now has an inactivity timer when using live view which automatically cancels the live view display after 25 minutes. This is to help reduce battery usage and the heating up of the camera's sensor. Pressing F6 will reactivate live view and display the photobooth ready screen.

This release adds raw conversion support for Canon PowerShot S90 and Panasonic DMC-GF1 and improves the quality of Canon PowerShot G11 raw conversion. It also fixes a problem in v1.9.5 when copying EXIF data to JPEGs which affected EXIF copy and the extract embedded JPEG option.

27 January 2010: Support for Canon EOS-1D Mark IV added to DSLR Remote Pro for Mac, DSLR Remote Pro for Windows and DSLR Remote Pro Multi-Camera

These releases add support for the new Canon EOS-1D Mark IV including live view display, timed bulb exposures and the ability to save images to the camera only, camera and computer or computer only. When saving images to both the camera and the computer the same filenames for images can be used for images saved on the computer as for images saved on the camera's memory card.

This update fixes an installation problem on some computers which resulted in "application configuration is incorrect" or "side-by-side configuration is incorrect" errors.
