DSLR Remote Pro Support for Windows Vista

DSLR Remote Pro v1.5 fully supports Windows Vista and will work with the following cameras:
Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, Canon EOS-1D Mark III, Canon EOS-1D Mark II, Canon EOS-1D Mark II N, Canon EOS 5D, Canon EOS 40D, Canon EOS 30D, Canon EOS 20D, Canon EOS 400D, Canon EOS 350D, Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi, Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT

DSLR Remote Pro v1.4 fully supports Windows Vista and will work with the following cameras:
Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, Canon EOS-1D Mark II, Canon EOS-1D Mark II N, Canon EOS 5D, Canon EOS 30D, Canon EOS 20D, Canon EOS 400D, Canon EOS 350D, Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi, Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT

Please Note: It is not possible to control the following older cameras on Windows Vista: Canon EOS-1D, , Canon EOS-1DS, Canon EOS 10D, Canon EOS 300D, Canon EOS Digital Rebel, Canon EOS D60, Canon EOS D30

DSLR Remote Pro v1.3.1 and DSLR Remote Pro v1.3.2 work with the following cameras on Windows Vista:

Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, Canon EOS-1D Mark II, Canon EOS-1D Mark II N, Canon EOS 5D, Canon EOS 30D, Canon EOS 20D, Canon EOS 400D, Canon EOS 350D, Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi, Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT

In order to run DSLR Remote Pro v1.3.2 on Windows Vista it is necessary to copy the required libraries from the latest version of EOS Utility. To do this please follow the instructions below:

1. Download and install DSLR Remote Pro on Windows Vista
2. Install Canon ZoomBrowser EX and Canon EOS Utility software from the CD that comes with your camera
3. Install EOS Utility 2.0 Updater for Windows which can be downloaded from www.powershot.com (click on "Download Library" then select "Digital Cameras" in dropdown menu 1, "Digital EOS (SLR) Cameras" in menu 2 and "EOS 30D" in menu 3. Click on "Go" and then click on the "Drivers/Software" link on the next page)
4. Copy the following two libraries from the EOS utility folder (C:\Program Files\Canon\EOS Utility\EOS Utility) to the DSLR Remote Pro folder (C:\Program Files\BreezeSys\DSLR Remote Pro) overwriting the copies already in the folder: EDSDK.dll, EdsImage.dll
   Important: Please take care to copy EDSDK.dll version 1.2.0.x and EdsImage.dll version 1.3.0.x files from C:\Program Files\Canon\EOS Utility\EOS Utility not the version 2.0.0.x files from C:\Program Files\Canon\EOS Utility
5. Run DSLR Remote Pro, select Preferences from the File menu and make sure "Use latest Canon libraries..." is selected (not required when running DSLR Remote Pro v1.3.2)
6. Follow the camera specific instructions below:
   
   

   Canon EOS 30D Canon EOS 400D Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi	Connect the camera to the computer, turn on and wait for Windows Vista to report the camera is ready to use and then run DSLR Remote Pro
   Canon EOS 5D Canon EOS 350D Canon Eos Digital Rebel XT	Set the Communication setting in the camera to "PC Connect" or "PC Connection" not "Print/PTP". Download and install the EOS USB WIA 6.0.0 drivers for Windows Vista which can be downloaded from www.powershot.com as described in item 3 above. Connect the camera to the computer, turn on and wait for Windows Vista to report the camera is ready to use and then run DSLR Remote Pro
   Canon EOS 20D	Set the Communication setting in the camera to "Normal" not "PTP". Download and install the EOS USB WIA 6.0.0 drivers for Windows Vista which can be downloaded from www.powershot.com as described in item 3 above. Connect the camera to the computer, turn on and wait for Windows Vista to report the camera is ready to use and then run DSLR Remote Pro
   Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II Canon EOS-1D Mark II Canon EOS-1D Mark II N	Download and install the EOS IEEE1394 WIA 6.0.0 drivers for Windows Vista which can be downloaded from www.powershot.com as described in item 3 above (selecting your camera model in menu 3). Connect the camera to the computer, turn on and wait for Windows Vista to report the camera is ready to use and then run DSLR Remote Pro
